Template talk:WksLangTxt
'texts' means 'textpages'?
- (originally asked on a category page)
The boilerplate "Works in this subcategory of Works by language have been categorized as having original text or text underlay in foo. For pages which contain actual texts in foo, see foo texts." is confusing, since the work pages also contain text. How about: "Works in this subcategory of Works by language have been categorized as having texts in foo. For non-workpages devoted to texts in foo which have been set multiple times and their translations, see foo textpages." Richard Mix 23:54, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
- Do you mean this comment to be posted on Category talk:Works by language? There is a difference between the two categories. The present category is for pages with actual text on them (including text pages and works pages), and the boilerplate for it is supplied by the Template:TextsByLangCatTxt ... The boilerplate you cite is supplied by Template:WksLangTxt intended for subcategories of Works by language. – Chucktalk Giffen♫ 03:28, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
I thought this was a category for textpages, so I have been doubly confused, at the least. I'll paste this discusion into Template talk:WksLangTxt, which may be the best place for it; and try again:
"Works in this subcategory of Works by language have been categorized as having original text in foo. To see only pages which contain the actual texts, see foo texts." Does this seem clearer to anyone besides me? Richard Mix 04:21, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
