Why two lists?

There seem to be two completely different lists for this 1577 publication. I couldn't find originals of either 1577 or 1609 publication, so I couldn't check it. Someone who knows better that I needs to provide an explanation. — Barry Johnston (talk) 03:07, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

The second list on this page is from Maternus Beringer: Musicae: das ist der freyen lieblichen Singkunst, Nuremberg, Georg Fuhrmann, 1610 (pp. 142-170), which IMSLP calls the "Second Edition". There is another title page on p. 100 of Beringer's book. Since these publications have different titles, and the second one is posthumous, I suggest they should have different pages. — Barry Johnston (talk) 16:06, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
I agree that these should be two pages. My recent investigations have shown me that these binicia were repackaged several times by several editors and publishers, but these are each different publications with their own editions and reprint history. This is especially true for publications such as the Beringer book, which is more of a music textbook with examples. Assuming we keep this page for the 1577 book, which has the same name, I will add a facsimile and RISM links. - GeoffG (talk) 00:38, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
