This item (CPDL #7356) was compared with the Carus Verlag edition CV 40.268/03 (CV) and with Neue Mozart-Ausgabe (NMA) available at http://dme.mozarteum.org and considered as reference editions herein. The comparison is limited to notes of the choral parts (no comparison was performed on lyrics). The following differences were identified:


Credo

Alto, bar 16 (123 on CPDL): the last note is G natural in this CPDL edition, G# in CV, NMA.

Tenor, bar 72 (179 on CPDL): the second note is A in this CPDL edition, G in CV, NMA.


Benedictus

All voices except soprano, bar 33 (262 on CPDL): the last note is a minim in this CPDL edition, while it is quaver followed by a quarter rest in CV, NMA.

Soprano, bar 22 (251 on CPDL): the second note is E in CPDL, F(#) in CV, NMA.

Alto, bar 44 (273 on CPDL): the last note is A in this CPDL edition, G in CV, NMA.


Agnus Dei

Tenor, bar 19 (325 on CPDL): the second note is A in this CPDL edition, G in CV, NMA.


The choir training aids available at Choralia are consistent with the reference editions. Comparison made by Max a.k.a. Choralia 15:25, 1 May 2011 (CDT)
