The transcriber seems to think little of Tallis' skills as a composer, he keeps switching the 2nd and 3rd voice, a practice which occasionally requires the transcriber to add notes that aren't in any other edition I've ever seen. The first occurs at bars 38 (Quomodo). He switches them back at measure 96, and then again at 98, hardly 2 bars later. This one requires that he adds some notes (the 1/8 C and 1/4 E on 'eam') to the 3rd voice (which is the real one here, but soon isn't) which rather destroys Tallis' voice leading. Perhaps this is a performing edition created for a particular group, but it would have been nice if he'd indicated this in the edition. Also I'm very suspicious of that G# in meas 45.
