Bars 23-25: All parts - occulis for oculis

Bar 42: the repeat signalled here should start at bar 11, not bar 9.
Jason Smart (talk) 16 Nov 2020

Bar 63: The final repeat of 'In pace...requiescam' should be wholly in plainsong and should not use the polyphony of bars 1-8. See under #42550 below.

Errors in CPDL #42550

Bars 43-44 should be deleted: the plainsong after 'dormitationem' started at 'in idipsum'.

Bar 71: The final repeat of 'In pace...requiescam' should be wholly in plainsong. Sheppard sets the soloist's portions of the chant; the service books of Salisbury Use specifically stipulate that this final repeat was to be sung by the chorus, so the polyphony would not have been reused.

Errors in CPDL #59367 and 59368

Bars 27-35. I am afraid that the note in the commentary is mistaken: the Gyffard Partbooks do read 'dormitationem' and not 'dormitationis' (at every occurrence of the word the final 'm' is denoted by a macron). That 'dormitationem' is very definitely the correct reading is confirmed by all the service books of Salisbury Use, not to mention every other setting of this text.

Bar 57: As explained under #42550 above, the final repeat of 'In pace ... requiescam' should not reuse the opening polyphony..
