:There is no 'H' in Latin. The graphic was adopted from Greek, where it represents a vowel, rather than a consonant. The same goes for J, as you'll find <i>Jerusalem</i> next to <i>Ierusalem</i>. Trying to get Latin spelling consistent is a daunting task, comparable to what Dave is doing to Dowland's English currently.
