Comparison between different editions
CPDL editions #13637 by Philip Legge and #130 by Rafael Ornes were compared. The comparison was limited to the vocal parts. Differences were then checked against IMSLP #26819. The following differences were identified.
- Bass, bar 18: the first note is F in #13637, E(b) in #130 and in IMSLP #26819;
- Tenor, bar 29: the last note is B(b) in #13637, A(b) in #130 and in IMSLP #26819;
- Tenor, bar 52: the first note (Bb, crotchet) in #13637 is replaced by a quarter rest in #130 and in IMSLP #26819.
The choir training/rehearsal aids available on the Choralia web site are corrected in compliance with the above list. Corrections are based on a 2/3 principle (i.e., when a difference exists in one edition while the other two are concordant, the version shown by the concordant editions is chosen).
