Dal tuo bel Tempio santo,
Per difender l'intutto,
Dal contagio, ch'apport' amaro lutto.

Lasso, Ch'entro de l'Alpi in varie bande
Già verso noi si spande,
A macel de la gente
Ahi fa Morte con falce aspra, e tagliente!

Mira VERGIN, che sei pietosa Madre,
L'horrende armate squadre,
Ch'onde il mal si ristaura,
Van spargando con arte, e insettan l'aura.

VERGIN sgombrale Tu sì che stian lunge
Da noi, che morte punge;
Roma pregati humile,
Non ritorcer da lei l'ufato stile.

Dentro l'aria salubre nott'e giorno
Si senta, d'ogn' intorno:
E se dal Ciel tal' ira
Pur ci viene, Tu almen qui non t'adira.
