Si ignoras te, o pulchra inter mulieres,

egredere et abi post vestigia gregum

et pasce hedos tuos iuxta tabernacula pastorum.

Equitatui meo in curribus Pharaonis adsimilavi te amica mea.

English translation

If you do not know, O fairest among women,

follow the tracks of the flock,

and pasture your kids beside the shepherds' tents.

I compare you, my love, to my company of horsemen among Pharoah's chariots.
