Si bona suscepimus de manu Domini,
mala autem quare non sustineamus?
Dominus dedit, Dominus abstulit.
Sicut Domino placuit,
sit nomen Domini benedictum.
Nudus egressus sum de utero matris meae;
nudus revertar illuc.
Versa est in luctum
cithara mea et organum meum
in vocem flentium.
Parce mihi Domine,
nihil enim sunt dies mei.
Cutis mea denegrata est super me
et ossa mea aruerunt. (Job 2, 1, 7, 30)
