English text
Shew us, O Lord, the light of thy countenance,
that we being delivered
from the darkness of our hearts
may come to the very light, which is Christ.
And thou Lord preserve us while we be waking
and keep us while we be sleeping,
that we may wake with Christ,
and take rest in peace.
