Died: 1882

Biography

Samuel Wakely was an organist at Bridport, and published several books of church music including New Congregational Music, which included his best-known tune, 'Reuben'. Two of his tunes were included in Thomas Jarman's collection The Wesleyan Melodist (London: [c1840]).
