Biography
Composer for the London stage, organist at the Chapel Royal and Westminster Abbey. He edited an edition of Handel's works, one of the first comprehensive editions of any composer. He also compiled Cathedral Music, a four-volume "supplement" to William Boyce's Cathedral Music. Arnold hastened his death by falling off his library steps when inebriated.
