Description: Der Originaltext von Op.9 lautet:

Salvum fac regem, Domine, et benedic hereditati suae.

Mittlerweile ist der Text völlig unzeitgemäß. Früher waren Bitten für Klerus, Fürsten und Volk in der (katholischen) Kirche üblich. Aber zu welcher Gelegenheit sollte man heute noch ein Gebet für den Fürsten/König/Kaiser singen? Der Text wurde daher durch das entsprechende Gebet für das Volk ersetzt:

Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine, et benedic hereditati tuae.
