Richard Quesnel is Director of Music at City of London School for Boys. He graduated from Cambridge University in 1998, and worked in France as a choral conductor, composer and teacher until 2017. He holds the Agrégation de musique (Ministère de l'Education nationale) and the Diplôme d'Etat in choral direction (Ministère de la Culture). He was the choral director at the Académie de Musique et d'Arts Sacrés de Sainte Anne d'Auray (Morbihan, France), from its foundation in 2000 until 2017. In 2009, he was made a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture. His catalogue includes three act oratorios, cantatas, mass settings and motets, as well as song cycles for choir and ensemble; he has also written music for stage productions, TV and feature-length documentaries. Richard Quesnel is also Director of Music at St Mary's Church Putney.
