Composer: Frederic Chopin

Date of request: 2003-11-03

Requested by: Janelle Lee

Additional notes: I was wondering if the English version is obtainable. It's called So Deep Is The Night and is arranged by Mario Melfi. It's in the key of E flat major. I am not sure if the French version was done before 1923 or is copyrighted. If there's no English version, the French version is ok. Thanks.

You'll find Russian, German and French versions at the Petrucci Music Library (IMSLP) (it's No. 3 in E major). English text seems to be the work of a Sonny Miller used in A Song To Remember (1945)Link to the English Wikipedia article, possibly copyright-US through 2040 though you'd have to do a renewal search to be sure.
