- Edition notes: The music of the edition from 1607 is transferred to modern notation with halved note values. Melisms and slurs from the source are shown alwasy as slurs, also some slurs have been added, according to the text distribution with today's notation.
"Heut seind die lieben Engelein" begins with two breaks, then the first six bars are repeated. In "Musae Sionia V, No. 88" five bars are repeated for the same text and similar music, so I removed the two half-breaks and noted this bar as a anacrusis. To make the text easier to read, the repetition is written out and the music is doubled for two verses each.

Description: No. 89 of Musae Sionia V summarizes three pieces, for which there is no clear information as to whether and how they should be performed together. First "Quem pastores laudavere" and the German translation "Den die Hirten lobeten sehre", but only one stanza each.
Next "Heut seind die lieben Engelein" ("Nunc angelorum") in German, all four stanzas.
Then once again "Den die Hirten lobeten sehre" in German, all four stanzas in a different setting.
The first two settings are overwritten with "ad aequales", pitches SAAT (SATB would also be possible), the last setting with "à 4" for an adult choir (SATB).
