French.png French text

Quand mon mari vient de dehors,
ma rente est d'être battue.
Il prend la cuillère du pot
à la tête il me la rue.
J'ai grande peur qu'il ne me tue.
C'est un faux, villain, jaloux, grommeleux,
je suis jeune et il est vieux.

English.png English translation

When my old man comes home from work
My sad fate is to be whipped:
He grabs a spoon from the pot
And on the head I get clipped.
I fear he’ll put me in the crypt
He’s a liar, a jealous, brawling rogue,
But I’m young and he is old.
