Description: Published in Pilsbury's The United States Sacred Harmony, 1799, p. 168. Words are from a hymn, Who hath our report believed? by an unknown author, probably English, before 1782. The text is a free adaptation of Isaiah 53:1-6. In Pilsbury (1799), only the second stanza is presented.
