Perche in biasmo d'amor canti sovente,
Vergine casta e bella à par del sole,
Non però disdegnoso egli s'en duole,
Anzi acquistand' in ciò lieto il consente,
Poi che tenendo ogni huom l'orecchie intente,
Vie più ch'al senso al suon delle parole,
Dolci si ch'altro ben l'alma non vole,
Tutt' in preda di lei rapir si sente.
