Latin text
Pastores loquebantur ad invicem:
transeamus usque Betlehem, et videamus
hoc verbum quod factum est,
quod Dominus ostendit nobis, alleluia.
Et reversi sunt pastores glorificantes
et laudantes Deum, alleluia.
English translation by Edward Tambling
The shepherds said to one another:
"Let us cross over to Bethlehem, and see
this word which has been made,
and which the Lord has shown us". Alleluia.
And the shepherds went back, glorifying
and praising God. Alleluia.
Italian translation
I pastori si dicevano l'un l'altro:
andiamo fino a Betlemme e vedremo
che Dio ci mostrerà la realizzazione
della sua promessa, alleluia.
E tornarono i pastori, glorificando
e lodando Dio, alleluia.
