General Information

Title: O quam glorifica I (another anonymous setting is found in Tr. 87)
Composer: Anonymous

Number of voices: 3vv   Voicing: ATB

Genre: SacredOffice hymn

Language: Latin
Instruments: A cappella

Published: Trent codices

Description: A Blessed Virgin Mary hymn transcribed from the Trent manuscript tr92. The notes' values, accidentals and colourings are as in the manuscript. The time signature is missing, from the context I assumed it would be the "tempus perfectum". The coloured notes in the Superius are in "proportio sesquialtera" (3 vs. 2), in the two lower voices are hemiolæ. The notes' values within the ligaturæ are as follows: the left upstemmed notes are semibreves - the unstemmed notes are breves - the right downstemmed note is a longa. The "musica ficta" suggestions are in the MIDI and MusicXML files.
