Latin text Ne timeas Maria, invenisti enim gratiam apud Dominum: ecce concipies in utero et paries filium, et vocabitur Altissimi Filius. German translation Translation by Peter Rottländer Fürchte dich nicht, Maria, du hast nämlich Gnade beim Herrn gefunden: Siehe, du wirst im Mutterschoß empfangen und einen Sohn gebären, und er wird Sohn des Höchsten genannt werden.

English translation Translation by Mick Swithinbank Fear not, Mary, for you have found favour with the Lord: behold, you shall conceive and bring forth a son, and he shall be called the Son of the Most High.
