Life

Born: 1761

Died: 1829

Biography
Matthew Cooke lived from 1761 to 1829, and was an organist and composer; he trained under Nares. He was organist of North Mimms, of St George, Bloomsbury, and of the Curzon Chapel in Mayfair. He styled himself Professor of Music, and operated from Number 36 Charles Street, Berkeley Square.
