General Information
Composer: William Byrd
Description: Byrd's three settings of the Ordinary of the Latin Mass were published in undated editions, without title-pages, sometime between 1592 and 1595. The printer, presumably Thomas East, is nowhere named in the prints, although Byrd's own name appears defiantly at the head of every page.
List of publications
- Mass for Four Voices (ca. 1592)
- Mass for Three Voices (ca. 1593)
- Mass for Five Voices (ca. 1594)
