tacea a tutto d’intorno:
silente era Bethlem.
Immersa era nel sonno
la gente giù nel villaggio.
Restavan svegli i pastori,
le greggi a sorvegliar.
Guardavano sù, in alto,
attorno ai loro fuochi,
contavano le stelle
ad una, ad una, in ciel.
