Life

Born: 1941

Biography John Hetland is the founder and director of the Renaissance Street Singers. He graduated from St. John's college in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1965, and has since lived in Manhattan, New York. He has written sacred works for a cappella choir and rounds for anyone.

Note: The term "equal voices" should here be understood to mean both high (mostly women and children) and low (mostly men) voices. Include both in singing these rounds, but only high or only low on any part. Fermatas indicate a chord for ending, so ignore them until the end. Plan to end with low voices on the root of the chord.
