Description: This setting was published on pp36-37 of Thomas Clark's A Third Set of Psalm and Hymn Tunes, London: [1807]. Hymn Tune Index tune number 11867.

A variant of the same text (beginning 'Jesu, lover of my soul') was subsequently set by Clark to another tune, Leveland, in his collection The Congregational Harmonist, London: 1837.
