I tene a l'ombra de gli ameni faggi,
pasciute pecorelle homai,
ch'el Sole, sul mezzo giorno indrizza i caldi raggi.

Ivi udirete l'alte mie parole,
lodar gl'occhi sereni e reccie bionde,
le mani et le bellezze al mondo Sole,
 
mentr'el mio canto e'l mormorar de l'onde
s'accorderanno et voi di pass'in passo,
ite pascend'o fiori, herbett' e fronde.
