Italian text Io moro, ecco ch’io moro. Bella nemica mia, t’offes’ assai, levar tropp’ alto i miei pensieri osai, perdon ti chieggio in pegno, bramo di pace un segno. In quest’ estrema mia dura partita non vò senza il tùo bacio uscir di vita.

German translation Ich sterbe, siehe, nun sterb ich. Dir, süße Feindin mein, Zornworte sagt ich, zu hoch mein Wünschen zu erheben wagt ich, Vergebung vergönn mir! Ein Zeichen wollst mir des Friedens reichen. Mein Los will qualvoll sein, scheid ich vom Leben, laß mich einmal dich küssen und so entschweben.
