Prudentia, e mi riprende ogn’un che m’ode,
Non ci è nome conform’a quel che sete,
Non so che vosc’havete
Più del humano, più del divin ancora.

I capei de l’Aurora,
Gl’occhi del sol, la fronte de la luna,
E se bellezza alcuna
Imaginar si può che non si vede,
si mira in voi ch’ogni bellezza eccede,
Né bella più di voi esser potria
Se beltà havesse forma o leggiadria.

Wenn ich sage, dass Ihr schön seid, schmälere ich Euer Lob,
Prudentia, und es tadelt mich jeder, der mich hört,
es gibt keinen passenden Namen für das, was Ihr seid,
ich weiß nicht,was Ihr in Euch habt,
das mehr als menschlich, gar mehr als göttlich ist.

Die Haare der Morgenröte,
die Augen der Sonne, das Gesicht des Mondes,
und wenn irgendeine Schönheit
