In dar Natura a voi spoglia sì cara,
Vinse in beltà non ch’altri, anco se stessa,
Donna, e, perché solo a mirarvi impara,
Nella sua mente ogn’hor vi porta impressa.
D’ogni virtù voi, novo Tempio ed Ara,
Adora il mondo, se di voi concessa
Gl’è la vista, e in veder cosa sì rara
Meraviglia succede, invidia cessa.
Onde gran tempo già mi stringe Amore
Ch’a l’infinito al gran merito vostro
Fin ch’a me luce il sol consacri il core.
Io che lo fei beatamente vivo,

Die Natur, indem sie Euch solch blendendes Aussehen gab,
hat in Schönheit übertroffen nicht nur andere, auch sich selbst,
meine Dame, und, weil sie schon gewinnt, wenn sie Euch nur betrachtet,
trägt sie Euch jederzeit eingeprägt in ihrem Sinn.
Für jede Tugend, neuer Tempel und Altar,
bewundert Euch die Welt, wenn ihr erlaubt ist
Euer Anblick, und wenn erblickt wird so Außergewöhnliches,
dann folgt Bewunderung, und der Neid verstummt.
Daher zwang mich Amor schon seit langem,
dass ich auf ewig Eurem großen Verdienst,
solange mir die Sonne leuchtet, das Herz darbringe.
Ich, der ich das tat, lebe selig,
nun da Treue mich glücklich macht in Eurem Dienst (?),

 English translation
Nature, in giving you such a brilliant appearance,
has surpassed in beauty not only others, but even herself,
my lady, and, as only by looking at you she gains,
she always carries you impressed in her mind.
For every virtue, new Temple and Altar,
the world adores you, if it is granted
the sight of you, and if something so rare is seen,
wonderment ensues, and envy ceases.
Therefore Amor already long ago forced me
to dedicate my heart to your great merit,
as long as the sun will shine on me.
I, who did so, live blissfully,
now that faithfulness makes me happy in your service (?),
as your sublime benevolence does not spurn it.
