Italian.png Italian text

In bianco letto all’apparir del giorno
Tutta d’avorio e rose
Viddi colei che’l cor m’accese et arse,
Cui le gratie et amor ridean intorno.
Ella vezzosamente

English.png English translation

In white satins, at the break of dawn,
the delicate golden braids scattered and dispersed,
all of ivory and rose,
I beheld the one that my heart enflames and burns,
the one the Graces and Love rejoice of.
Graciously she pressed
the white bosom, the sweet secret parts
by her holy hands, whence I
thought to die for joy and desire.
