Hodie Simon Petrus ascendit crucis patibulum, alleluia: hodie Clavicularius regni gaudens migravit ad Christum: hodie Paulus Apostolus, lumen orbis terrae, amputato capite, pro Christi nomine martyrio coronatus est, alleluia.
English translation
Today Simon Peter ascended the gibbet of the cross, alleluia; today the Keeper of the keys of the Kingdom rejoicing passed over to Christ; today Paul the Apostle, light of the world, was beheaded, and for Christ's name was crowned with martyrdom, alleluia.
