Description: First published in The New-England Psalm-Singer, 1770, p. 14. Words inferred to be Isaac Watts, 1709, his Hymn 58 of Book 1 (see Kroeger 1981). Barbour (1960) changes the title to Hampton, but Kroeger (1981) accepts the title as Hamton as originally published by Billings.
