Description: First published in Pilsbury's The United States Sacred Harmony, 1799, p. 166. Words by Joseph Hart, 1759, Hymn 112, A general admonition, with thirteen stanzas. Pilsbury used the eighth stanza of Hart's hymn in his composition, altering the first line from "The chief concern of fall'n mankind" to "The chief concern of lost mankind."
