Biography Bassani was an Italian composer, violinist and organist. He is said to have studied with Legrenzi, and was possibly Corelli's violin teacher. His sacred music is predominatedly in the concertato style, bridging early baroque composers such as Monteverdi with the late composers such as Vivaldi and Pergolesi.
