e né fuoco da riscaldar.

Maria lo mira,
setàa e chinàa sospira,
perché l’è nato al mondo
chi tutti vuol salvar.

Giuseppe vecchierello
lo stava a rimirar,
il bue e l’asinello
lo stavan a riscaldar.

Venite pastori
a fare grandi onori
perché l’è nato al mondo
chi tutti vuol salvar.

Tre Magi da l’Oriente
lo andavan a ritrovar
col cuore tutto fervente
per volerlo adorar.

Si posero in via
con tanta allegria,
incenso, mirra ed oro
vengono a lui donar.

English translation

The Infant Jesus is born
in such a poverty
without rags or clothes
or fire to warm him.
