Life

Born: 7 July 1820, Lambeth

Died: 2 October 1876, London

Biography English church organist, teacher of organ, and writer of several guides to pipe organ technique and practice. "In 1862 he revised the music for the Rev. W. Windle's Church and Home Metrical Psalter and Hymn Book, contributing several tunes of his own composition. In 1876 he completed the musical editing of Wesley's Hymns."
