Life
Born: 1676-1680 in Herzberg
Died: 5 March 1762 in Zeitz
Biography
German cantor and music editor. His 1736 book, Musicalisches Gesängbuch contained many compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach. Schemelli was student at the Thomas-Kirche in Leipzig from 1695 to 1700, where J. S. Bach was Cantor from 1723.
