1:6  Fuit homo missus a Deo, cui nomen erat Joannes.

1:7  Hic venit in testimonium, ut testimonium perhiberet de lumine,... et pareret Domino plebem perfectam.

1:6  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

1:7  This man came as a witness, to give testimony about the light,... and to prepare for the Lord a perfect people.
