General information
This is a versification of the first two stanza's of Psalm 119. Text and tune are most probably composed by Matthias Greitter, and was first published in Teutsch Kirchēampt mit lobgsengen (Strassburg 1525). In 1539 the tune is used for the genevan psalm 68, and from 1582c for Sebald Heyden's choral O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde gross.
