French text Original text En non saichant ce quil luy fault douleur en son cueur plain ie languis non en default et de riens ne me plains puisque tout habandonner me fault de tous regretz demourray plain Modern French En ne sachant pas ce qu'il lui faut, douleur entière en son cœur, je languis non en défaut et de rien ne me plains puisqu'il me faut tout abandonner. De tous regrets je resterai comblé.

English translation Since he doesn't know what he needs most, his heart is filled with sadness. I suffer, since I am not at fault and never have complained, yet I have to abandon it all. Regrets will fill my life henceforth.
