Y cueille qui en peut choisir
La rose et l'espine n'y prenne
Mais si du bien tant est prochaine
que l'un sans l'aultre ne puisse estre
Quitter le plaisir pour la peine
C'est par Dieu faute de connaître.
English translation
In love there is pleasure.
In love, pain can be found.
One can benefit from it by choosing
The rose, and avoid the thorn.
But it is so close to goodness,
That one without the other cannot exist.
Leave pleasure for pain,
It comes with God when you have no relations. (Maybe wrong translation)
