Biography

Ellis Eugene Winningham is an American composer. Though a prolific composer, Mr. Winningham is best known for two of his shortest pieces: The dark and emotionally charged "Resurrection of Many Days" and the haunting "Mrs. Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children".

He did not attend university for music, preferring instead to study composition and theory on his own using full scores of Mozart’s works and text books such as: “Albrechtsberger’s Thorough Bass, Harmony and Composition”, “Harmony” by Walter Piston and “The Technique of Orchestration” and “Counterpoint” by Kent Kennan.

Winningham's catalog contains numerous choral works, a Requiem, piano and violin concertos, symphonies, quartets, piano sonatas and many other orchestral compositions resembling scores for film and video games.
