Spanish text En la noche oscura duerme el Niño en la cuna y la gran estrella ilumina su faz bella (Estribillo:) ¡Dios de Dios! ¡Luz de Luz! ¡Rey de Reyes! El Niño entre los bueyes (bis) Con Su nacimiento Dios nos quita el sufrimiento y Su sacrificio nos alcanza el paraíso (Estribillo)

English translation In the dark night the Child is sleeping in His cradle and the big star lights up his beautiful face. God of God! Light of Light! King of Kings! The Child among the oxen. By His birth, God removes from us the suffering and by His sacrifice He bestowes upon us the Paradise.
