Description: Cantata for Reformation Day (October 31), based on a lost 1716 cantata for Lent III, Alles, was von Gott geboren (BWV 80a) on a libretto by Salomo Franck. Bach's first reworking from around 1723 exists in a few fragments; the opening movement was recomposed in the 1730's.
