General information

Source of text is Acts 2:1-4 (altered), the first lesson on the Feast of Pentecost. Variant 1 based on John 20:19. The Liber usualis gives only a short antiphon for the 1st psalm at Vespers, "Dum complerentur dies Penecostes, errant omens paritur dicentes, alleluia."

2:1  Dum complerentur dies Pentecostes,
erant omnes in eodem loco
2:2  et factus est repente de caelo sonus tanquam spiritus vehementis,
et replevit totam domum, ubi erant sedentes.

they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
