English translation
The parting of my loved one pains me so
that certain death is upon me.
My heart foresees it,
since parched through the absence of love's liquor
I suffer this discomfort without relief.
I have no solutions or relief left within me,
so farewell my friend, my lord and master,
strong in victory and conqueror of all,
in my will I'll leave you my heart,
as I go to my death; again: farewell!
And to you, creator of all, I commend my soul
and place it in your hands
that have touched this mortal body
at least now, it can lay in the earth
and await its decay.
