Im Wald, in grüner Runde, wo Wipfel über Wipfel schaut,
auf stillem Wiesengrunde hab‘ ich die Hütte mir gebaut.
Sie steht bewahrt, vor Stürmen, die schützen sie mit Freundeshand;
in’s Fenster blüht die Rose, die Rebe grünt hinauf zum Dach,
mit heimlichem Gekose rauscht nah vorbei der Wiesenbach.
